Maine, Vermont, New Hampshere!! =)

One of the coolest roadtrips I've been to, and this time is with the WHOLE chestnutties family!~ ^_^ all six of us rented a nice SUV n drove 10hrs to Maine! haha.. I'm so glad i went! was almost deciding not to go due to budget constraints =X *in bliss for making the right choice!*

Tha fall season is seriously one of the most beautiful time of the year! The scenery is simply breathtaking! i've never laid eyes on anything more beautiful than this, makes me wanna sigh happily and hug my bf (oops.. hehe~ but sad he not with me T_T)

One of the places we visited during the trip was the famous Ben & Jerry's Factory! B&J originated from Vermont, started up by 2 school dropouts or something haha.. Really love their ice cream, one of the yummiest ice cream i've tasted haha..

beautiful snow covered white mountain!

When we saw the white mountain, we were all so excited. At first Pacey thought that it's called white mountains because the mountain is filled with trees that have white barks, which we saw a lot along our way.. But no!! it was white because of the SNOW! :D

Although it is only Fall now, Maine and Vermont is already snowing!! It's mainly because Maine/Vermont are further up north of US. While we were driving up to Vermont from Maine, it started snowing and covered the ground with pretty white snow ^_^ but the drawback was that it was soooo cold!! >.<

MY LOBSTER~~~ *slurp~*

the famous dishes in Maine!! LOBSTERS!!! i had lobsters for 2 meals consecutively!!! muahahahaha... thx guys for letting the chiobus take the lobsters at Jordon Pond House :) other famous dishes were blueberries and popovers. Popovers are actually these puffs that are made from dough expanding at sudden extreme high heat. they are crispy on the outside and fluffy n soft on the inside.. they are extremely delicious with raspberry jam, butter or clam chowder ^_^ *yummy~~*

Many other place we visited were the Acadia National Parks, the Cadellac Mountains where the most breathtaking scenic pictures were taken, Santa's Village, and the Cider factory (where apples are made into cider lol.. free cider juices were given in the factory. the cider juice was sooooo tasty~~ mmmm..) oh, i actually also wanna mention about the wind at the Cadellac mountains.. it was sooo big that I could have been blown off the cliff!! lol..

Reflections

I've been listening to loads of Jay Chou songs recently.. i really love his songs. i was never a music person, not that i don't like music, but because i can never multi-task haha.. so i can't do anything else if i'm listening to music =p
come to think of it, i didn't even know who jay chou was when i first entered uni..

looking back, i think i've grown so much since i stepped into NUS. my life had been turned upside down so many times; in a short span of 1 year after entering uni, i have made many life changing decisions, so major that if i had just made a slightly different decision, i would not be where i am now. i believe that all the mistakes i made were critical in bringing me to where i am now, and i'm happy with where i am now.

and somehow jay chou became interwined in our lives.. always seemed so apt.. so capable of eliciting emotions.. tsk tsk.. just this 1 stupid song had caused so much.. haiz.. i think no 1 else can ever understand huh? (for once i feel i can be more cheem (deep) than others >.< but it makes us so much stronger.. i hope =X)

i had much fun, maximising the full weekend for this trip.. took leave on friday, left on thu night and came back on monday morning.. and it's straight back to work and school!! lol..

Yay~~ I'm going to chicago tonight!! whoa! actually i shouldn't blog now, so much work to do!!! but i'm excited for yet another roadtrip! hmmm.. air trip since we're flying there haha..

these few days had been really stressful.. my boss kept pressing me for my report, but my supervisor keep pushing the lab work to me to do so i haven't got time to do my report AND presentation for my boss at work.. my supervisor super shiok lah.. hardly ever see him do work.. come work later than me, go home earlier than me.. (haha, cannot believe it right?? and EVERYONE thought that i must be the luckiest employee ahahaha...) my supervisor spends his day checking his email, surfing CNN, wikipedia, reading those funny emails that his friend sends him, play online games and talks to his wife and friends on yahoo chat everyday?? oh, did i mention that he can disappear from work after lunch sometimes and never come back?? haha.. i oso wan his job.. higher pay than me somemore lol.. but my supervisor is a really nice guy lar.. n he got disability also, quite pitiful..

well anw.. CHICAGO!! wohoo!! gonna go visit the magnificent mile, beer fest, lake michigan, watch second city comedy night, visit a jazz club and other stuffs like chicago filmfest and what not.. ^_^ ooohh.. and we'll be shopping!!! hahahaha...

i've got a long shopping list!! many of them to help my friends grab stuffs haha.. i dun mind helping them buy lar, got excuse for me to shop! wahahahaha..

sheesh.. i haven't packed my bag! i shall bring an empty one there and come back with a full one.. lol..

It's FALL!!

wow... i can't believe that i've been so bogged down with work that it's already fall!! can't even remember when was the last time i blogged haha.. the weather is getting cooler each day, and i'm just getting more anxious to layer all my nice clothes hehe.. the guys in our house are rolling their eyes each time me and char talks about clothes haha.. we're such shoppaholics!! die!! soo bad influence.. everytime either one of us sees something cute online, we'll tell each other and we'll end up looking at more n more stuffs online hahahaha!!! we just bought like $150 worth of clothes from VS online yesterday, can't wait for our stuff to arrive!! XD

okok... mebbe i'm shopping too much! but i can't help it, stress mah.. this whole week was a killer deadlines week!! i had so many major assignments to submit... my internship report, my market analysis for my boss, my bio test, and my business case (which is like 2 modules worth of grades; 8MCs)!! and now my boss also wants me to give a presentation to him and the other boss!! so i gotta prepare a presentation for them on monday!! ahhhhh... so nerve wrecking!! >.< (see.. can't blame me for being so stressed right? :p)

yup.. i just bought this sweatshirt from Penn bookstore haha.. it was on sale!!! $14.99 only!! hehe.. original price was like $35 =p but very very sadly for my roomie, she was extremely unlucky.. she bought it the week before for $27, a subsale >.<

at last i managed to find a picture to squeeze into my locket! actually i cut it out from the index print lol.. that's why got the number there hehe.. better than nothing! ^_^ now i can wear my locket out!! yay~~
